Fowlds regarding Customs administration as between Australia and New Zealand, and also regarding reciprocal trade. He drew special attention to the complaints by some Federal members last session that the treaty between South. Africa and* New Zealand was giving decided preference to South African wines, and that the imports of wine from Australia had fallen during the last three years from sixty thousand gallons to fifty-one thousand gallons, while the imports from South Africa had increased from practically nil to seventeen thousand gallons. Mr. Fowlds promised that the matters would liavo consideration later.
