GISBORNE CLUB. A decidedly interesting game was played on the green of the Gisborne Bowling Club yesterday afternoon, when J. J. Martin’s tournament rink played a rink skipped by T. A. Crawford, and won bv seven points. The players were as follows: —Hiicl (sub), MoW lnrter, Sawyer, J. J. Martin (skip), 26, beat R-. G. Crawford, Harris, Bright, 1. A. Crawford (skip), 19. The bowlers who intend to take part in the North Island Bowling tournament are beginning to -arrive in Auckland The ' South Island rinks from Westport and Nelson have arrived. Ain oner the arrivals to-day wore Colonel Collins', 1.5.0., late president of the Northern Bowling Association; Alessrs. A. J. Keith, vice-president, and J. J. Roberts, acting secretary of the Association. „ The Mayor, of Auckland will formally welcome the visiting bowlers on Monday morning The conference regarding the new constitution of the Northern Bowling Association will be held next Wednesday evening.
