Imports were valued at. £84,786. an increase of £6,300. Exports amounted to £87,536 tons, 7000 tons less than the year before, chiefly due to the very small shipment of oats. Frozen meat exported amounted to 714,000 carcases, and wool 41,131 bales—-a- record. The value of imports and exports was £1,600,000, plus the unascertained values of Dominion trade. The rating valuation of the harbor district increased by £IBO,000, to £10,500.000.
