SUICIDE BY DYNAMITE
[United press association- -copyright. * (Received Jan. 15, 5.5 p.m.) NEW YORK, Jan. 14.
An unidentified man boarded a San Francisco boat, and entered the lavatory. An explosion of dynamite followed, and dismembered him. The panic-stricken passengers, several of whom were injured by flying fragments, attempted to lower the boats, but the crew restored calm. It is believed to be a case of suicide. ELECTION OF SENATORS.
The United States Senate debated a Bill providing for the election of Senators on the people’s direct vote. No decision was arrived at.
WOMEN JURORS ACQUIT WOMAN
PRISONER
Six women jurors at Seattle, Washington State, heard the case of a woman accused of tampering with a gas •meter. A woman attorney defended the accused and won the case by pointing out the insufficiency of the evidence.
A CLAIM ON MRS. EDDY’S ESTATE Doctor Foster Eddy , on the ground of allotted sonsliip of the late Mrs. Mary Baker Eddy, has filed a bill in the Equitv Court at Concord, New Hampshire, claiming a share of the Christian Science leader’s estate.
