ALLEGED COINERS. [Per press association.j PALMERSTON N., Jan. 20. Michael Batossi was charged at the Court this morning with having in his possesion a mould for making counterfeit half-crowns, nad was remanded until to-morrow, when C. H. Cloughin, similarly charged, will appear before the Court. Bail was allowed in £4OO, and two securities of £2OO each. NEW PLYMOUTH HARBOR BOARD. NEW PLYMOUTH, Jan. 20. The Harbor Board report for the past year shows an increase in the working reserve of 25 per cent, over 1909, and in the cargo handled of 15 per cent. The new dredge is now engaged in deepening the water at the wharf to 33 feet at low water, spring tides, preparatory to tbe widening of the wharf by 20 feet. 11AZARD-PLAYERS FINED. WELLINGTON, Jan. 20. As a sequel to a police raid near the wharves, nine waterside workers were charged at the Court to-day with playing a game of chance named hazard. wTliam Spindle, said to he the ringleader. \jas fined £5 or one month.; Alfred Sutton, previously convicted, was fined £4 or 14 days; and three others £3 each or 14 days. The remainder were discharged with a warning. PETER BOWLING. Peter Bowling, on his return from North last evening, was received by the Trades’ Council, and gave an address on industrial unionism.
