BUILDING OF A STATE CAPITOL

CONVICTIONS AGAINST POLITI- ‘ " GIANS QUASHED.

The Supreme Court in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, has quashed the sentences passed upon six prominent politicians, thus ending the sensatioal “graft” c_ases in’ which these men were involved in connection with the contract for the building of the new State Capitol. The accused returned £300,000 to the Treasury, but it is said that no less than £1,000,000 was misappropriated.
