A RESULT OF MR. LYSNAR’S ACTION.
CABLEGRAMS FROM NORTH CANTERBURY FARMERS’ UNION.

CHRISTCHURCH, Jan. 26
As an outcome of Mr W. D. Lysnar’s address here vesterday on the conditions under which the Dominion frozen meat is handled at London, the President (Mi. 0. P. Clothier) of the North Canterbury Provincial Executive of the Fanners’ Union, to-day forwarded: the following cable messages, replies to which are expected to-morrow :—•
‘Town Clerk, Guildhall, London. “At large influential public meeting of producers held in Canterbury yesterday, meeting unanimously agreed support request of New Zealand Committee to your corporation to improve Smithfield. Upon all heads trust speedy action.—Clothier, President North Canterbury Farmers Union.” “Port London Authority, London.
“At large influential public meeting producers held Canterbury yesterday, under auspices North Canterbury Farmers’ Union, meeting unanimously adopted resolution already cabled you by Napier producers. Trust speedy action.—Clothier, President North Canterbury Farmers’ Union.”
