A DYNAMITE DISASTER.
EXPLOSION IN NEW YORK.
MANY LIVES LOST

A quantity of dynamite exploded on New York suburban pier. Seven men were killed and seven fatally' injured. Fifteen are unaccounted for. The whole city was shaken.
A lighter which was loading the explosive vanished utterly. A second lighter sank, and two men were drowned.
A .British barouentine was stripped of her rigging and sailors killed on her deck.
A second car filled with dynamite had the roof blown off. but the dynamite was not exploded. A hundred foot of the pier-end were demolished. An„ enginedriver was blown off the footplate and killed by the fall. Several men were blown into the harbor, but rescued.
