Millar, Minister of Marine stated last evening that tenders had been received' by thp, Government from Great Britain fo r the lease ot Campbell, Auckland, Antipodes, and County Islands for sealing purposes. The islands were advertised for lease a year ago. but the tenders were unsatisfactory. and protection was maintained for another I*2 months. Since then a very satisfactory tender had been received from Great Britain, and 1 another was on tlie way. These- will be dealt with on i s return to Wellington.
