A FINE DISPLAY OF STOCK. [PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.] FEILDING, Feb. 7. At the Feilding show to-day the Minister of Agriculture was present,' with Messrs Dunlop and Keith, the Scottish Commissioners. There was a good first day attendance. The judges’ comments were to tho effect that all the stock was in wonderfully good fettle. The first prize for maiden hunters was gained by Air. Northcott’s Mischief. In the pony classes the winners were S. J. Sanson, Fred. Moult, M. Alonihan and A. D. Williams. In harness horses, lToult and Son, Miss Grace. Robertson, IT. E. Hoeken, and J. Gening Johnston gained firsts. In draughts, J. D. Alitchell, E. Short and J. P. O’Connor were the leading prize-winners. In pedigree cattle, T Duncan was first in Shorthorns, E. Short and C. J. A. Levat-t in Herefords, T. Coleman and J. C. AYratt in Ayrs-lures, and S. R Lancaster in .Jerseys: In tlie dairy clas.se::, S. R. Lancaster was the principal winner with Charmley at runner-up.’ In tat cattle'!'. Duncan, E. P. Swainsoi, and E. Short divided first prizes. In the fat sheep classes, AY. Reid, S. F. Alcßae were the . leading exhibitors. Li pure-bred Romneys AY. Gibson and J. E. Hewitt. Li .Lincolns, J. AY. Brodcv took both championships. In Border Leioesters, J. S. Doutli- i waite wrs the most successful. In English Leicest-ers, S. R. Lancaster took both championships. In Snuthdowns, J. Knight got the championship. Tll Cheviots, Chas. Carr took all the prizes. In pigs. Alonektrm and Fetch were tlie eh.ief winners.
