GISBORNE- CLUB
A considerable number of members of the Gisborne Bowling Club preferred the attractions of the bowling green to those of the racecourse yesterday afternoon, and several pleasant games were played. There was only one match game among them, a game in the Handicap Singles, in whic h W. Pet tie (o points) boat H. Miller (10 points) by 24 to 22. The following ordinary games were played:— Cobb, Murray, Corson. T. A. Crawford (skip) 23 heat Crompton, Fieldhouse McMillan, Crain (skin) 21. Eure, Harris, Kyme, Smith (skip - ) 21 heat Johnston, H. IMiller, Y\. Pettic, Coleman (skip) 14. Morgan. Williams, It. G. Crawford (skin) 33 heat Townson, Wilson, G. Miller (skip) 11. INTER-CLUB MATCH. The second match this for Hie ])onnant presented hv Air. J. W. AN itty for competition between the A Grade players of the Gisborne and Turanganui Bowling Clubs is to take place at the green of the latter on Thursday next. Eacli club is to be represented bv three rinks, and Messrs. J. J. Martin, E S. Simson, and M. J. Nasmith, jun., have been selected to skip those of the Turanganui Club.
