STATEMENT BY MR. ASQUITH

LONDON, Feb. 9. The only method of removing Justice Grantham from the Bench will be by petition to both Houses. Air. Asquith stated in the- House of Commons that Justice Grantham had signally violated the, obligation on the Bench to abstain from criticising Parliament. He had thereby; created a unique, situation. The- Premier asked for time to consider the best course to adopt in the- matter.
