INSURGENTS MASTERS OF THE SITUATION.
GOVERNMENT FORCES AT THEIR MERCY.
The Government forces in Mexico have been out-generalled and divided by the insiirrec-tos.
General Loques, with 100 infantry, is at Ojinada, and Colonel Dorantc, with 200 cavalry, is at Cuchillio. The insurgents command every road leading to both towns. Colonel Dorantc is reported to have lost upwards of 100 men in an ambuscade last week. He had no sooner left his place of refuge on Sunday, when the rebels, under Sanchez and Orteza, made a quick flanking movement, and attacked him while he was filing through a canyon at Boquellila. A murderous fire was poured on Dorante’s column, which was finally comped led to retreat. The rebel leaders now have Loques and Dorantc at their mercy, and consider themselves masters of the situation.
