GISBORNE CLUB

The muster of players on the green of the Gisborne Bowling Club yesterday afternoon was so large that every rink on the green was in play. The green was in passably good order, and a number of very enjoyable games were obiyed. Several match games.were got off, and a number of ordinary games were also played. A meeting of the Club is to be held at the Pavilion next Tuesday evening, to consider the question of improving the Club’s green. Mr. TV. Pcttie, president of the'Club, lias decided 1 to invite the members of the Gisborne and Turanganui Clubs to a social gatliring on Tuesday evening, to celebrate the success of the represnta-t-ives' of the latter in the champion pair’s at the Auckland tournament. The gathering is to be held: after the clbse of the Gisborne Club’s meeting, above mentioned. ' .
