MURDERER SENTENCED TO DEATH. [United press . association- copyright.} PERTH, Feb. 17. Smart has been sentenced to death for the murder of Ethel Harris. Smart protested his inocence. Tlie- judge declared tliat there could be no doubt of ; s guilt. The crime was conceived in deadly deliberation, and executed with unflinching brutality. For such a crime there was no hop© of mercy in this world.
