A NOTORIOUS BRIGAND.
CAPTURED IN A THEATRE. [UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT J ROME. Feb. 16. A notorious Sicilian, brigand named Ballo visited Palermo opera with his mistress. A rival informed the carabiniers of the brigand’s presence. Ballo shot one soldier before lie was pvcrpowored. He is accused of committing 10 murders, and blackmailing the province to the extent: of 150,000 lire a year.
