WIRELESS AT WELLINGTON.
SATISFACTORY EXPERIMENTS. LPEB PEESS ASSOCIATION.! WELLINGTON,. Feb. 20. Some satisfactory work was effected at the experimental wireless telegraphy station in connection with the General Rost Office last evening. One of the messages interchanged came from the direction of Australia, hut its terms rendered it improbable that it was sent from the UJimaroa, wliicli left Sydney for Wellington on Saturday, and which would be about 800 miles from this port last night. Though the note was similar to that of the Telefunken system, the message probably originated from a station at Sydney, and may have- been Intended for a vessel approaching Sydney. This is considered a good performance, but it must be understood that the conditions for transmission and hearing were eminently favorable last night.
