BOWLING.
GISBORNE CLUB. A good deal of interest was evoked on. the Gisborne green yesterday afternoon by a return match with the visitors’ fink, which put up such a good fignt on Saturday. The rink which they met yesterday was .differently constituted to that Which they first met, and was beaten by seven points. The players and scores were as follows: —Dyer, Parker, Kinvig, Munro (skip), 20, beat Zachariari, W. Pettie, Watkins, Ponsford (skip), 18,. A handicap single game was also played, Robertson (2 points) beating McMillan (5 points) by 20 to 17.
A special meeting of the emb will be held at the pavilion at 7.30 p.m. to-day to consider the question ot improving the club’s green. After the meeting a social gathering will be held in celebration of the victory in the champion nairs at the 'Auckland tournament. The members of the Turanganui Club and visiting bowlers have been invite J to attend.
