FRENCH SOCIALISTS MAKE AN UPROAR. [UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION-COPYRIGHT.! (Received Feb. 22, 11.20 p.m) PARIS, Feb. 22. The Chamber of Deputies is debating a Bill authorising the construction of two additional 23, 500-ton Dreadnoughts. An uproar was created by the Socialists shouting that national defence was merely a pretext to ransack the Budget and lay hands' on the money contained therein. The disturbance forced an adjournment of tlie debate.
