RIOTING STUDENTS.

LIVELY TIMES IN ST. PETERS-

BURG

University students in St. Petersburg, have heen in a state of riot. Fifteen hundred of them! 'were arrested yesterday following a noisy demonstration in the streets of the city, when the undergraduates smashed and burned fences, and even houses. The university preciricts were closed for two days but the lecture rooms were reopened to-day! The attendance was small, and those who were present were driven out again by noxious fumes, arising from chemicals wlucli the noting students had thrown, through the windows.
