METEOROLOGICAL.
LPEB PBESS ASSOCIATIONS WELLINGTON. Feb. 27. The Meteorological Office this evening .issued the following weather summary and forecast:—Cyclone of considerable intensity passed down the west coast of the North Island and through C-ook Strait early on. Sunday morning, causing very stormy weather, especially northward of * Hokitika and Kaikoura. Northerly and south-easterly gales were . experienced, accompanied with heavy rain in those parts. Unsettled weather has been experienced generally, but conditions have improved. To-day the barometer has fallen, risen again, and is now above normal everywhere. Present indications are for strong easterly and northerly winds, veering to northerly everywhere, after about 24 hours. Hazy and warmer, but unsettled conditions will probably increase. with a falling barometer.
