At the National Mutual Life Association’s triennial investigation meeting, the chairman stated that the business for the triennial period was the largest ever done. The revenue averaged over a. 'million pounds per annum. The increased funds during the period was £1,350,000 and the surplus £473,000, to be divided, nearly fifty per centum greater than the amount three- years ago' There was a satisfactory increase in honpses all round, equivalent to £BOO,OOO reversionary bonus. The basis of valuation had been somewhat more stringent than formerly. ,
