BOXING.
JOHNSON WILLING TO FIGHT LANCFORD. BUT AVANTS £6OOO. Jack Johnson declares that he is willing to fight Sam Langford anywhere ana at any time after three months, provided Mr. MTntosh agrees to his terms, viz., that he receives £6OOO whatever the result may be. • Johnson also stipulates that the refer ee shall be an American if the fight takes place in London. BIG FIGHTS; FOR PARIS. M Mr. H. D. MTntosh, who. has been requested to stage a fight in Paris, has spent several days in making inquiries concerning the Hippodrome as a suitable arena. As a result, it is likely that the •Hippodrome will be the scene of an international contest, for which negotiations are practically completed. At least a dozen contests will be staged at the Hippodrome within the near future, and already Porky Fylnn will meet AA 7 ells or Hague on March 1. JOHNSON WELL OUST. UNLESS DOLLARS ARE FORTHCOMING. The papers in New York are making much of a cable from Mr. Hugh D. MTntosh offering £6OOO for a fight between Johnson and Langford in London of Paris, either in May or June next. The purse, he suggests, shall be cut in the ratio of 60 to the winner and 40 to the loser. Johnson says that unless he can get the same money as Burns got in Sydney to defend the championship, £6OOO outright, he will quit the business and never return.
