The Union Co/s Tarawera, from Auckland. via Tokomaru Bay, arrived m the bay yesterday afternoon, and proceeded south during the evening. From Napi ir soe will proceed to 'Wellington, arid while there she will tranship her Lyttelton passenders, then proceeding direct to Dunedin? where she will he docked on Thursday. Consequent on the docking she w he a day late in returning to Gisbor m. and will pass through here on 1-rnlan schooner Te Aroha. with a car-o of shingle for the Borough Council. arrived from Wairoa.. after a fine passage. on Saturday morning. She witn th° Alert, berthed on the Haiti side, and came over to the town wharf during the 6 "The l scow Alert arrived at noon on Saturday from Ngunguru, and berthed at the Haiti wharf. Later in the daj. she crossed to the town wharf, and beithecl immediately astern of the Waikonini. Her cargo is comijrised of 78,000 ft of timber for Messrs. Aicken and Son. - The Shaw. Savill, and Albion Co. s Karamea is expected to ' arrive this morning for extensive Home loading. Messrs. Richardson and Co. s Fanny arrived from Napier yesterday morning, and on embarking Barton's Circus returned to Napier a few hours later. The Canterbury Shipping Co. s Petone arrived from Napier yesterday morning. She comes from the Bluff, calling at Timaru. Oamaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, and Napier, and brings 200 tons of produce for this port. Calling at Wellington on Thursday, she landed 70 tons of cargo, and worked Napier, landing some 400 tons, on Saturday. Sailing from there at 10 p.m. on the same evening, she arrived here as stated above. Discharging operations will be commenced at 8 o'clock this morning, and it is expected that .she will clear this port on Tuesday for Lyttelton, direct. . .
