WOMEN OF THE NORTH-WEST PROTEST. DEGRADING THE SEX. The women members of the United Irish League are forwarding a protest to the British Premier and the leaders of the Labor Party in England protesting against the privately promoted campaign of advertising throughout Great Britain'for wives for the north-west of Canada. This practise, ( they maintain, tends to commercialise and take away tlie holiincss of matrimony, will degrade womanhood, and may cause untold misery.
