The “Parramatta Hundred” race has so far -resulted as follows: — \ First heat: Ripley, 1; Theo. Towns, 2; G. Hay, 3. Second heat: Norman Towns, 1; W. West, 2; S. McLean,. 3. The starters included J. Arnst. Third (heat: F. Hagney, 1; V. Simpjjon, 2; B. Poddon, 3. The starters included R. Arnst and Tom Lawson. Fourth heat: W. Eogwell, 1; P. Kemp, jun., 2; C. Alat-terson, 3. THE LATEST PARTICULARS. FULL DETAILS OF THE RACING. (Received March 20. 1.5 p.m.) SYDNEY, March 19. The weather was fine, and there was a rising tide. In the first beat Ripley had 83sec start, Theo. Towns 48sec, and Day ISsec. Ripley was never overhauled, and won a good race by a length. In the second heat, Norman Townshad 44sec, AV. West 78sec, and Ale Lean 75sec. Towns gradually forged through and won by two lengths. There was a great finish between the other placed men, Arnst pushing Ale-Lean hard for third place. _ In the third heat, Hagney had ISsec, Simpson 70sec, and. Paddon 45sec. The presence of Arnst and other cracks, including Messenger, lent additional interest to the heat. Hagney got a gcod start, and overhauled the limit man- at Tennyson. Lawson (60sec) lying fourth and Arnst (scratch) with Alessen-ger (32 see) were together. At Caharita Arnst retired, despite many requests to finish the course. Hagney, finishing well, won by four lengths. Lawson was fourth, and Alessenger finished in tlie ruck In’the fckvrth heat Eogwell had ISsec, Kemp 40sec, O. Ala.tterson 75sec. Eogwoll steadily made his way to the front and took charge at Tennyson. He then jumped away, and finished two lengths to the good. Kemp was fourth. A rust’s defeat has robbed, the final next Saturday of a good- deal of interest.
