PERSONAL NOTES.
On the application of Mr J. W. Nolan, M r Arthur Trevor Coleman was admitted a barrister of the Supreme Court by his Honour Mr Justice Chapman yesterday. Mr Ernest Clirisp was admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court by his Honour Mr Justice Chapman yesterday. Mr W. L. Rees made the application.
Mr Henry Burling, of Waikanae, who will be 110 years of age ou May Ist next, had a fainting fit on Thursday, and was unable to be present at the wedding of his grandson. k A marriage has been arranged to take place m London shortly between Staff-Surgeon Wood, 8.A., M.D., of H.M.S. Cambrian, Australian station, and Miss Rubi Jessie Seddon, youngest daughter of the late Hon. R. J. Seddou. Miss Seddon is now on her way to the Old Country. Mr. W. H. Renner, chief postmaster, has returned from his annual leave, and lias resumed duty. Mr. C. M. Price, chief clerk, who acted in Mr. Renner’s absence, has gone on a tour overland to Auckland by way of Motu and the Bay of Plenty. It is his intention to cover a considerable portion of the distance on foot.
Mr R. W. Holmes, Engineer-in-Chief to the Public Works Department, accompanied by Mr C. E. Armstrong, resident engineer, arrived in town by last evening’s train. On Wednesday Mr Holmes will confer with the Harbour Board on the subject of the breakwater extension.
