SLY-GROG IN AUCKLAND.
EXEMPLARY FINES. [PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.] AUCKLAND, March 20. At the Police Court to-day John Gresham. occupier of a lodging-house in the city, was fined £SO, or in default a month’s imprisonment for sly grogselling. His housekeeper. Isabella Mitchell, was fined £'o or seven days’ imprisonment. Harry Smith ,cf Parnell, who was convicted of four similar offences, was fined £IOO or in default a month’s imprisonment.
