Mr Ewart, a noted Ottawa lawyer, lias attacked the Governor-General’s activity on behalf of the Overseas Club, describing Earl Grey as. a preferred Imperialist, whose dearest wish was to unite Canada, politically and for war purposes, with the Motherland. He adds: “Imperialism is the chief obstacle in the- way of Canada’s nationalism.”
