Two persons .were killed and thirteen injured in a panic at the Hippodrome Picture Palace, Middlesborough. Sparks were noticed in the neighborhood of an electric fan in a gallery containing thousands of spectators, mostly young people. Immediately the occupants of the upper seats rushed the exit below, in the vicinity of the stage. A crush resulted at the doorway, but the. audience partlv recovered from the first alarm thus facilitating extrications from the crush.
