PERSONAL NOTES.

Among the passengers for the south last evening was Mr. F. W. Mansfield, Registrar-General, who had been in Gisborne for the past few days on. departmental business. Mr G. F. Wilson, who has been transferred from the local office of the Union S.S Co. to the passenger department in the Dunedin; office left for the south by last evening’s steamer, and null take up his -new duties at an early date. A Press Association telegram from Dunedin states that Mr. Bedford lias announced his candidature for Dunedin North.
