GISBORNE CLUB
The green of the Gisborne Bowling Club was well patronised on Saturday afternoon, and was in good order for play. A number of games in the first round of the champion singles . and colts’ singles were got olf, in addition to several ordinary matches. The results were as follows: —Champion Singles.—• Paltridge, 20, beat Brown, 10. Tvyme. 21, beat Witty. 16. McMillan, 20, beat O’Meara, 15. Kyme, 17, beat Maher, 16. —Colts’ Singles.— Hamilton, 24, beat Humphries, 16. Robertson, 27, beat Allan. 12. —Ordinary Matches. — Murray, Elliott, W. Pettie, Wootton (skip), 26, beat Roberts, O’Meara, Kirker, Macmillan (skip), 11. Hamilton, Robertson, Pavitt, Bright (skip), 17, beat Maher, Cobb, Johnstone, Ponsford (skip), 13. Brown, AVilson.
