NINE-ROOMED HOUSE DESTROYED.

tf’ER PRESS ASSOCIATION.J CHRISTCHURCH, April 6

A two-storied house of nine rooms, occupied by J. R. McCullough, was completely destroyed by fire last night. The family were absent in town at the time, and the fire had a good hold when discovered. A troop of.boy scouts assisted by neighbors saved some of the furniture, but the loss is extensive. McCullough’s house was insured for £9-10 and the outhouses for £6O in the Commercial Union office, and the furniture for £275 in the South British.
