METEOROLOGICAL
LPER PRESS ASSOCIATION.! WELLINGTON, April 7
The Government Meteorologist issued the following summary and forecast this evening:—Strong westerly winds have prevailed, and rain has fallen in many parts of the country. The barometer has been very unsteady and remained low in the south. The weather improved to-day. Present, indications are for strong westerly winds, veering to southerly, changeable and showery weather generally. A cool change is probable to-morrow, with a rising barometer everywhere.
