The Union Co.’s Tarawera, which left Napier last evening, arrives this morning, when she will be tendered at 6 a.m. and 10 a.m., proceeding to Auckland via lokomarn Bay. about noon. Carmichael. N. McKay, G- McKay, and Winkler. . The Union Co.’s Monowai returns from Auckland this afternoon, calling at Tokomaru Bay en route. The Tuatea will connect on arrival and at 7 p.m.. and the Monowai leaves the roadstead for Napier and southern ports, when the following will be passengers:—Mr. and Mrs. T. J. C. Warren, Mi" and Mrs. Gray, Mr. and Mrs. D. J. Parker. Mr. and Mrs. Morse. Mr. and Airs. Wallis, Air. and Airs. G. Barton, Air. and Airs. W. A. Barton. Misses Westerman. AI. Ludbrook, Gray, Williams (2), Field; Hay, Kenny, AlcDonald, ITeenev, Alesdames Thompson. Williams, Buscke, Arackintosh and child, H. W. Williams, C. W. Howard and son. J.’Brown, and F. Wilson; Messrs. J. Warren, J- Eneas, Stewart, Laiierty, Allison, F. W. Nolan, Coleman. Baird, G. Willock, Dodgshun. A. W. Kirk, Loten, Boland, AlcLean, and Kells. The Union Co.'s Kowhai arrived m the bay from Napier about noon yesterday, and came up to the wharf about 3.30 p.m. She swung round before making fast, and berthed facing the river entrance. The chief items of her cargo consisted of the following :—33,000ft timber, 825 bags chaff, 800 50lb bags flour, 180 1001 b bags flour, 344 sacks potatoes, 290 sacks flour, 181 bags oats, 91 bags pollard, 57 sacks bran, 20 bags malt, 50 sacks wheat, 11 bags seeds. 10 hags peas, 50 bags oatmeal. 10 bags soda, and 15 bags sugar. On discharging she will sail for Greymouth direct, probably sailing this evenins. After being on the slip undergoing repairs for some time the Harbor Board s oil launch was refloated yesterday. The Union Co.’s Waipori is due here from Newcastle and Auckland to-morrow. She exnerienced heavy weather between Newcastle and Auckland, and had a stormv passage of eight days from the former port. ” After loading produce at Geelong, the Waipori left that port on March 21 for Newcastle, where she loaded 1280 tons of coal, and left on March 31 for Auckland. Shortly after leaving Newcastle the Waipori encountered a strong gale, with very high seas, which necessitated the vessel being hove-to for 24hours. The weather improving the following day, the ship was again put on her coursed and met with strong winds and moderate weather to arrival. During the height of the gale on Alarch 31 huge seas broke on board fore and aft, and the officers’ quarterswere continually flooded. The Union Co.’s Squall, from Auckland via Tolnga Bay. is expected to'arrive here to-day. Messrs. Richardson and Co. s Emple will arrive from the south as usual on Friday morning. On account of the holiday on that day discharging operations will not be commenced until midnight. Messrs. Richardson and Co.’s Fanny was timed (o leave Napier for Gisborne yesterday afternoon, and should arrive here this morning, with general cargo. At present it is expected that she will sail for Tokomaru Bay and Napier tomorrow morning.
