DICK ARNST INTERVIEWED AT WELLINGTON. [PEE PRESS ASSOCIATION.J WELLINGTON, April 12. Richard Arnst, the champion sculler, arrived from Sydney to-day.' Asked whether he had any serious intentions in regard to .boxing,, he .explained that he had “taken on the gloves to keen in form,” but lie “knew very little about the science of the business.” “Of course,” lie added, “if I thought I could do as well at the game as I have done -at rowing, I would be into it -without a moment’s hesitation.” Arnst is awaiting the result of Barry’s Albany match. Barry’s hackers will: then be' in a- position to decide what, their plans for the future will he. A match with Pearce lias been talked of but the money difficulty is the stumbling block. Pearce’s ' friends, so far, have shown, no disposition to put up the necessary £SOO. Meanwhile the champion gees to Christchurch, and on Easter Monday will witness the race between W.hejch and Fogwe’l at Akaroa. He will return to Sydney oh Wednesday week to attend to some business matters.
