PROFESSIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP OF N.Z. [PER PBESS ASSOCIATIONS AKAROA, April 14. Akaroa is rapidly filling with visitors to witness the contest for the professional sculling championship of New Zealand, which eventuates here on Easter Monday, between Whelcli, of Akaroa, the present holder, and Fogwell, of Australia, the challenger. _ Both men have been in active training on the harbor, and are showing good form. Fogwell is showing marked improvement on the form he displayed when he was defeated by Wlielch for the championship two years ago. Both men are even favorites. There is every prospect of the fine weather lasting. Arnst will be here to witness the match. Besides the championship there is a stake of £2OO a side, Fogwell taking £SO expenses in the event of his losing. Whelcli takes the whole of the gate, win or lose.
