RETURN OF THE DANDIES.

ATTEMPT TO POPULARISE LACE

ON MEN’S CLOTHES

A Sawley (Derbyshire) lace manufacturer is making an attempt to popularise the use of lace as an ornamentation on men’s wearing apparel. The novelty has been received with considerable favor by gentlemen in Nottingham and district.

With the aid of an artistic tailor ho has had waistcoats made suitable for morning and evening wear trimmed wth figured lace web. One of the waistcoats, consisting of purple cloth trimmed with black lace for morning wear, looks extremely smart. Another with white lace on sea-green cloth designed for evening wear is attractive and neat, and (remarks a London paper) they are likely to meet with popular approval.
