KIDNAPPED!
SENSATIONAL AMERICAN LIFE DRAMA. MOTHER- STEALS HER OWN BABIES. A sensational drama was unfolded in a ’Frisco court. Foster Kelly, a millionaire banker, was arrested for exceeding the speed limit with his automobile. In the car with him were Mrs Henry, the divorced wife of a Seattle bank clerk, and her two infants, and when the vehicle was_ pulled up she burst into a violent storm of tears. It- appears that -the interruption of the officers ended a. desperate attempt to kidnap the two babies, who had been given over to the custody of the father by the judge in divorce. The mother bribed the nurse and employed armed men, who forced an entrance into a Seattle apartment house where the children were. The police interfered, but were overawed at the point of the revolver. The babies were then snatched from their cots, wrapped in blankets, and the whole party, dispersed in different directions with the aid of six automobiles.
