HEARING OF THE PETITION.

[UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT.} (Received April 21, 11.35 p.m.) LONDON, April 21.

The East Cork petition is being heard. A large body of police has been drafted into the city for duty. In the court Mr. Tim Ilealy, for the petitioners, said that the election had been won by means of eleven hands, ten torchlight processions, six hundred free railway tickets, two thousand free drinks, and 284 free meals.
