ENTERTAINMENTS.

PATHE PICTURES

Tlie usual Li-weekly change of programme submitted by tbe Path© Picture Company on Saturday evening again attracted a large audience. At 8 o’clock His Majesty’s Theatre was packed to the doors. The items shown were ail of a first-class order, and were greeted with enthusiasm, the dramatic subjects being of exceptional interest. Tile ‘‘star” item in the dramas was undoubtedly one entitled “Two Little Waifs,” ' and the excellent manner in which these two little mites handled their difficult roles captivated the audience. The story is of a very touching nature. These little children, after escaping from an orphan asylum, set out in search of Heaven, to which they believe their mother to have journeyed. E vena ally finding, what they think m their innocent little minds, to be a, place* like Heaven, they enter through tbe open gates, and are here found, by a widowed mother, who is sorrowing for her own child. She is so enamoured with the two little waifs, that she immediately decides to adopt them, and the final scene is a happy one. A highly imaginative forecast of the future is contained in a film entitled “The Pirates of 1920 ” representing some exciting adventures which may he regarded as likely to happen when aeronauts turn pirates. Another dramatic subject of intense interest, and one* excellently produced, was entitled, The Little Station Agent.” Other good pictures were : “Winning Back His Love, com-edy-drama; “Madras” and Hindu Customs.” scenic ; and “How Baptiste Lost Pinrp ” a n* excellent comic him. H 'S to the theatre being required for election addresses, there will be no exhibition of pictures to-night or tomorrow A new programme will, however, be submitted on Wednesday. ROLLER SKATING.
