Sir Edward Strachey, Liberal M.P. for South Somerset, in a speech at Crewtliorne, said , there was a growing feeling that neither the Board of Agriculture nor the county councils were doing as much! as they might regarding the working of the Small Holdings A.ct. The time had arrived for more activity iji acquiring land. The “Daily News” declares that the Board of Agriculture is hopeless and needs overhauling. A new broom is required to replace Earl Carrington.
