THE AGRICULTURAL JOURNAL.
WILL IT BE CONTINUED? Recently, quite a number of papers have suggested very plainly that, it seemed likely that the monthly “Journal of the Department of Agriculture” would be discontinued by the Minister for Agriculture, because poor support was accorded it. The Minister has been in the South Island for some time, and therefore the matter has not yet been referred to him, but a “Dominion” representative has been told by one well acquainted with all that concerns the journal that there is little, if any, likelihood of the Minister deciding to wind up the paper. The reporter was told that although no canvassing had been done there w°re 4000 subscribers. It is reckoned that the circulation could be easily increased very largely if an effort were made to do so. '
