The “Morning Post” questions whether Sir Jospeli Ward’s Council scheme conforms with the prevalent idea of Imperial partnership. Any moral or legal authority possessed by the Council would impair autonomy. The “Morning Post” prefers, utilising the existing ample opportunities for co-operation, instead of the new machinery. SIR WILFRID LAURIER CANNOT ATTEND. OTTAWA, April 26. As the Opposition will fight- the reciprocity .measure. Sir Wilfrid Lauder will be unable to attend the Imperial Conference.
