THE GISBORNE SUBSCRIPTION.

Already about £ll2 lias been subscribed locally by sympathisers of the Irish Home Rule movement. It is anticipated, however, that by the time the country lists are in there will be a sum of at least £250 to be forwarded to headquarters on behalf of the envoys from Erin.

RECEPTION AT HASTINGS

HASTINGS, May 9. The Irish delegates on Sunday were motored through the district. On Monday they were the guests of Mr G. P. Donnelly. Last evening they addressed about 800 people iu the theatre, and a resolution in favour of Home Rule was carried by acclamation. The collection in the tneatre. realised £32. Messrs. Redmond and Donovan left by motor car early this morning, en route for New Plymouth, where they speak tonight. Mr Hazelton left by the express for Palmerston North to fulfil his engagements there.

A CORRECTED PROGRAMME. WELLINGTON, May 9

Mr. Martin Kennedy is still receiving applications from different parts of the Dominion requesting that the Irish Home Rule delegates should pay visits. Altogether Messrs. Hazelton and Donovan will address fifty meetings before leaving the Dominion. The corrected dates for the visits of the envoys in this district are: Mr. Hazelton, Palmerston North, May 11th; Shannon, May 13; Taradale, May 15; Napier, May 15; Dannevirke, May IS; Gisborne, May 20; Taihape, May 30: Messrs. Redmond and Donovan, New Plymouth, May 10; Stratford, May ll; Patea. May 13; Hawera, May 15; Feilding, May 18; Wanganui, May 19; and Manaia, June 6, on their return from Auckland.
