An aviator named McDonald, one of Air. J. J. Hammond’s mechanics, took aloft different newspaper photographers in- order to secure bird's-eye pictures of the city. Mr. Hammond declined to take passengers carrying cameras.

Hammond’s engagement with the Aeroplane Company has ended 1 . McDonald in charge of a biplane, made several trips over the city, carrying as a passenger on cue journey Brigu-dier-General Gordon, the Military Commandant. The streets were crowded with people watching the flights.
