NATIONAL INSURANCE.

TEXT OF THE SIOIIEME ISSUED

PRESS ASSOCIATION- -COPYRIGHT. J LONDON, May 9. The text of the National Insurance Bill has been issued. It covers 76 pages, and provides severe punishment for false insurance representations. , A SUGGESTED AGREEMENT. OPINIONS IN AUSTRALIA. MELBOURNE, May 10. Mr. Hughes, Acting Federal Premier, commenting on. the suggested mutual insurance arrangements' between Britain and the dominions, said it was difficult to frame an opinion without details. Speaking generally, reciprocity was in itself a most excellent indication of the tendency of modern civilisation. Mr. Lloyd George’s idea was good, but .it would be one-sided reciprocity, because not a half, or 1 per centum, of the Australians who go to England would; take advantage of it, whereas a much larger percentage come to Australia who would desire to avail themselves of the scheme. \ WHO MAY CONTRIBUTE ? (Received /May 11, 12.‘27 a.m.) LONDON, May 10. The Invalidity Bill which is now called the National Insurance Bill, makes it clear that any body may voluntarily contribute, provided their income is derived from a definite occupation.
