RAILWAY LABORERS STRIKE. SYDNEY, May 10.
Men engaged on the Moree-Mungindi railway which the Government is building! by day labor, struck for 15s a day for man. and horse:- Mr Griffith immediately purchased horses and sent ether men, who replaced the strikers. He stated they could not allow workmen to dictate to the Department. STRIKE AT STATE MINE, MELBOURNE, May 10.
Miners ait the State' coal mine have struck work. They refused to resume until" one of their grievances, shortage of trucks, was settled to tlxeir satisfaction.
HARVESTER WORKERS STRIKE MELBOURNE' May 10.
The harvester workers took a secret ballot to-day as to whether they would return to work. It is probable a start will be made to-morrow.
