ALLEGED FORGERY AND UTTERING.
ACCUSED MEN COMMITTED FOR TRIAL. [PEE PEESS ASSOCIATION.J AUCKLAND, May 11. At the Police Court Charles Kiwi Wilkinson pleaded not guilty to forging a cheque for £6O on the Bank of New Zealand. Wilkinson and William Alexander Boyd were charged jointly with forging and uttering a cheque for £135 purporting to_ be signed- by T. S. Collins. The police produced a statement by the accused admitting the offence. It appears that the two accused agreed to the forgery. Wilkinson suggested operating on Collins account up to £2OO. Boyd disagreed, and they finally agreed to make it un to £135. Accused pleaded not guilty, and were committed to the Supreme Court for trial on all charges. Boyd was admitted to bail, himself in £SO. another surety of £SO. and two of £25 each. Wilkinson, himself in £IOO, two others of £SO, and one of £IOO.
