Huddart, Parker, aud Co/s Wimmera is due to arrive from Napier this morning, when the launch will connect at 6 a.m. and 10 a.m., and the vessel resumes her passage to Auckland about noon. For Sydney: Mesdames Quinn and Colley, and- Miss Colley* The Union Co/s Tarawera arrives from 'Auckland to-morrow afternoon, and will be tendered on arrival and at 5 p.m., proceeding to Napier during the evening. The bookings to date are as follows: Mr. and Mrs. Chrisp, Mr. and Mrs. P. Barry, Messrs. East, O. W. Exall, T. W. Williams. ...... The Tyser liner Tndrabarah, which leit Gisborne for Napier on Thursday, _ took the following local shipments:—Shipped by Messrs. Williams and Kettle, Ltd.: 281 bales wool, 25 casks sausage casings, 41 casks pelts, 110 casks tallow, 4433 carcases mutton, 10,562 carcases lamb, 1258 quarters beef. The Shaw, Savill, and Albion Co/s Kia Ora arrived from Wellington yesterday morning, and will load frozen meat, wool, etc., from this port, afterwards proceeding to Auckland. The Union Co/s Squall arrived at Tologa Bay at 2 p.m. yesterday, and arrived here last evening. She will berth on the morning tide. After discharging her cargo she returns to Auckland, sailing in all probability this evening. The local agents for the Shaw, Savill, and Albion Co., Messrs. Common, Shelton, and Co., Ltd., have been advised that the lonic, signalling by wireless, sent the following message to Hobart:— “lonic due at Hobart 11 a.m., berthing this morning/'’ Messrs. Richardson and Co/s Ripple arrived from southern ports and Napier yesterday afternoon. Thick weather and a fairly heavy swell were experienced between Wellington and Napier, but on the run from the latter port to Gisborne the vessel met with fair weather all the way. She left Napier at 12.30 a.m. on Thursday, and arrived at the wharf at 2.30 p.m. yesterday. After discharging her general cargo she loaded 700 sacks of maize, 200 hides, and about 12 tons of general cargo, and sailed this morning for Picton.
Advice having been received that the scow Waikonini was aground at Tokomaru Bay, the Union Co/s Tuatea was despatched' yesterday, with instructions to render what assistance she could. She returned to Gisborne this morning, having succeeded in refloating the vessel. The barquentine Senorita completed her ballasting operations, and is expected to sail for Whangape, where she will load timber for Sydney' to-day.
